Hi there! My name is Marci Gray and I am the founder of Gray Matter Health. I am a Psychotherapist and Social Worker who is passionate about all things mental health and wellness. I help people to address their mental health and relationship challenges so that they can overcome and begin living their best life!
Have you ever been in the depths of despair? Or in a dark and perplexing place in your life, unsure how to get yourself out? If you are suffering with a personal challenge I encourage you not to battle it alone. After battling and overcoming my own mental health struggles, I understand all to well what it is like to suffer in silence long before getting much needed help. It is my mission through Gray Matter Health to provide you with the support and therapy needed to feel well, whole and empowered.
I have supported families and individuals from all walks of life for over 20 years in various capacities -working in Shelters, Community Health Organizations, Hospitals, Counselling Agencies, Churches, Social Housing Communities, and Human Services to help impact and change in people's lives. My experience in these various organizations has allowed me to help those from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds who are battling depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, parenting, relationship and family challenges.
I have earned my Master's Degree in Social Work, which has equipped me with the necessary educational foundation and clinical training to provide individual, couple, group and family therapy. In addition, I have received specialized training in trauma therapy for children and adults who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence or trauma. I work hard to ensure a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for counselling and therapeutic support.
In addition to my clinical work, I have been an Adult Educator for over 10 years, teaching college students and social workers, clinical skills and various competencies including suicide intervention. I am a certified suicide intervention (ASIST) trainer as well as an experienced facilitator and speaker. I have spoken at numerous events, workshops, and conferences to a variety of audiences including police, paramedics, parents, and leadership teams.
On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Chris for over 17 years and we have three wonderful children.
Welcome to the Gray Matter Health website! I hope to meet you soon for a therapy session, group or workshop.
